Is my blood sugar normal?

day sugar = 70 to 100
night sugar = 130 to 140
Answer:
As a healthcare provider I can tell you that a fasting blood sugar (in the am before eating for 8 hours at least) should be 70 to 110. After you have eaten (most anytime later in the day or evening because you have eaten) it should be less than 180. Your blood sugar levels are fine. If you are a diabetic the readings are beyond great. My guess is that you are not diabetic and are someone who is concerned about the possibility of being diabetic. To be absolutely sure, you can see a provider and have a bloodtest called a hemoglobin A1C. It gives us the reading of what your blood sugar levels have been for the past 3 months. You are fine. And its a bit concerning to me the number of people who answered this question and were wrong about your night blood sugar. I usually always have patients do a fasting blood sugar (first thing in the morning before eating) and do another one through the day about one or two hours after eating.
I dont know...good luck..
i don't think so or maybe yes.
yeaa it is
your day sugar is normal...but kinda high at 100...i think you're night sugar is too high...you should get a check up...
day needs to be up, night needs to be down.your dying.
Geezus kerist! my doc gets mad if mine goes over 10 WTF?
Nights a little high
No.
That night time reading is a little high may want to get it checked out.
its normal. Normal is 70 -150.
I am type 2 and I have to check mine daily also and those are great cause the night goes up alittle all the time due to what ever settled you ate earlier. I was told to keep mine around 140 in the mid afternoon.
I think 70 to 110 is normal for those who aren't diabetic. If you are diabetic, then I'd say what you have down here is pretty good.
your day sugar is good. as for the evening sugar, it is somewhat above normal. watch what you are eating for supper. watch the carbs. carbs, anything white, will run your sugar higher than normal.
The normal range usually is 70-105, check with your doctor as he/she will be able to tell you what is normal for you and that is what is most important..are you a diabetic and is that why you are concerned, if so you need to check with your doctor for that reason alone..do not be alarmed by your night number, just check with your doctor
day=good
night is slightly high
Night is a bit high. Day may be high unless it is 100 directly after eating. Of course, only your doctor can determine what is low/normal/high for you. My answers are based on what is average, but some people are different from the average.
I think the "standard" level for normal blood sugars is 70-110. 130 to 140 is a higher reading, but anything over 200 is cause for more concern. Because the higher your bloodsugars are the more possibilities of causing damage to your organs like your eyes, kidneys, etc. Make sure you are being compliant with medications and diet and going to the doctor regularly.
eat only fruits and vegetables.and lean meats. no sweets . red meat and white flour products. take zinc 100 Mg's daily. take some alfalfa tablets. two with each meal.
No...130-140 is too high
Your day level is great; however the night level is a little HIGH.make sure you check your levels before eating.Good Luck..and make sure you take your meds so that you do not develop any complications.FYI...(70),*80 to 100*...is normal range
I am diabetic. If my sugar stayed within the range you showed I'd be delighted. Some of these folks that answered you don't know diddly. Don't listen to them. Sugar does tend to rise at night, since you're inactive. If it goes back down to 100 ot below after rising---you're in good shape.
Blood sugar is directly affected by your food intake. You don't say whether or not these readings were fasting meaning no food intake within a certain time of checking your blood sugar. 70-100 is okay. If you've eaten and take your blood sugar at night it could be affected by the food you've eaten. The best way is to check your blood levels before breakfast and before going to bed. Keep a diary of about a week and follow up with a physician as diabetes is something you don't want to mess around with. Good luck!
130-140 is normal if you have eaten in the last hour or so. Otherwise it is a little high. The day sugars are normal, they look like before meal sugars.
YO DAY SUGAR iZ NORMAL ...BUT YO NiGHT SUGAR iZ HiGH ...MAYBE iT`Z BCUZ UR A LiL` STRESSED OUT OR SUMTHiN iZ GOiN ON ...U SHULD TRY AND GET YOURSELF CHECKED
You should consult with the doctor. Blood pressure, blood sugar are not good thing if they rise. Consult immediately.
normal is 70 -129 if you have eaten within the last hour it is normil for it to be higher. since your overall average is 110 then yeah its good.
Your normal blood sugar before meals should be 70 - 100 an hour after meals it should be 100 - 125, is your night sugar within 2 hours of eating? Are you thirsty all the time? Are you going to the bathroom a lot more than normal? Have you lost weight (without trying) Are you tired all the time? Some people also experience leg cramps. These are signs of diabetes. You should test prior to eating and an hour after you eat to see if your blood sugars are falling within the normal range. If they aren't please see your doctor. If you would like to read more about diabetes, please check out http://www.webmd.com
Anything above 126 is doing damage to your body, according to my diabetes nurse. My doctor thinks it is great when a patient keeps their sugar readings below 150, since so many people do not care for themselves properly. So your day readings are great. Check to see what you may be eating at night to get the high readings. A simple change in how many carbs you have for dinner may make the difference. And exercise. Also know your A1C reading. This is a test that gives you an average 3 month reading. This is the important reading to your doctor. You need to be under 7. Mine is 6.2.
